This shirt was designed with the purpose of raising money for Students for Justice in Palestine at UIC, In the drawing is the map of Palestine as well as poppy flowers--the national flower of Palestine.
I first designed the Palestine map and poppies using Adobe Sketchbook Pro, uploading it to Adobe Illustrator to add the text and then worked with a manufacturer to print the shirts.
The first round of shirts came in short and long sleeve and either black or white.

The original shirts were unfortunately not great quality, and the design began to fade after just a few washes. The manufacturer also messed up on the black shirts and tried to stick the fixed design on top of the first one. This resulted in many of the black shirt designs peeling right off.
I definitely learned from this and committed to more in depth research on credible shirt manufacturers. The following year, our student group found a new T-shirt manufacturer. We took this time to make a few tweaks to the original shirt design.
We made the original design on the shirt larger and also added a sleeve design!
The new shirts have maintained their quality and sold out!
